A Gaming branch on the resort events platform

Gaming gets its own events, tickets, point of sale, inventory, players and reports — kept completely apart from the resort's Events side — with Gaming's events still selling on the one public storefront, and every Gaming dollar paid through Gaming's own Square account.

01

Overview

What Gaming is asking for

Gaming wants the same tools the Events team uses every day — but for Gaming, and without the two being mixed together. A Gaming cashier should never scroll past a concert to find bingo; an Events manager should never see Gaming's sales in their numbers.

At the same time, guests shouldn't have to go somewhere else to buy a bingo ticket. Gaming's events belong on the same storefront as everything else at the resort.

Separate

02

How it fits

One platform, two branches, one storefront

Gaming becomes a branch of the existing platform. It is the same software and the same login, so there's nothing new to host and nothing to keep in sync. Every event, order, ticket, POS sale, inventory item and report belongs to exactly one branch, and staff are assigned to one.

Rod 'N' Reel Gaming

Bingo, trivia, tournaments. Gaming staff. Paid through Square.

One public storefront

Guests see every resort event in one list, filter to Gaming if they like, and keep one account for all their tickets.

  • Gaming staff sign in and land in Gaming. They can't see or change Events data, whatever their role.
  • Events staff never see Gaming events, sales or stock.
  • Super admins get a branch switcher at the top of the sidebar to move between the two.
  • Gaming gets its own roles (Manager, Lead, Cashier, Floor & Check-in) on the same permission system Events already uses.

03

What Gaming gets

Everything the Events team has, built for Gaming

Events & tickets

Create bingo nights, trivia and tournaments with their own ticket types.

  • Ticket types with prices and limits
  • Listed on the storefront, or sold by private link
  • QR tickets with Apple & Google Wallet
  • Check-in with the same scanner

Gaming point of sale

A counter screen for tickets, bingo packs, concessions and merchandise.

  • Card payments on Square Terminal
  • Cash with change due, comps, pay-by-link
  • Card on file through Square
  • End-of-shift tender summary

Inventory

Bingo paper, daubers, concessions and merch counted in one place.

  • Stock comes off as items sell — POS and online
  • Par levels and low-stock alerts
  • Receiving and shift counts with a full history
  • One-time import of Gaming's Square catalog

Players

Every Gaming buyer, their visits and spend.

  • Search by name, email or cell
  • Order history across online and POS
  • Tags for regulars and VIPs
  • Only Gaming purchases are visible to Gaming

Reports

Gaming's numbers, and only Gaming's.

  • Season revenue and tickets sold
  • Online vs. POS vs. comps
  • Per-event results with prizes and costs
  • Square payouts matched to orders

Gaming look

Its own colors in the admin, on tickets and in emails.

  • Light-blue sidebar with the resort navy
  • Gaming-branded tickets and receipts
  • Emails sent as Rod 'N' Reel Gaming
  • Storefront stays the resort look

04

Payments

Square, from the storefront to the counter

Gaming's money never passes through the resort's Stripe account. Gaming connects its own Square account once, and from then on:

Online

Gaming event checkouts use Square's secure card form — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash App Pay. Card details go straight to Square and never touch our servers.

At the counter

The Gaming POS sends the charge to a Square Terminal. The guest taps or inserts, and the sale lands in the platform and in Square at the same moment.

Refunds

Issued from the order page in the platform and sent back through Square — no logging in to a second system.

Payouts

Deposits go to Gaming's bank account. The platform shows each Square payout and checks it against the orders behind it.

Includes a sandbox mode for testing with Square's test cards before going live, the same way the Events side works with Stripe today.
